Our History
A Church Committed to Service!
The Morrison First Assembly of God has a strong pioneering heritage. It began when an open air revival was held on the churches present location. As a result of this outpouring many
souls were saved. Soon there became a need for a permanent facility. An old building in the main business district of Morrison was purchased and remodeled and became the new home of the Morrison
First Assembly of God. The new church was set in order with the General Council of the Assemblies of God on October 15, 1936.
The first pastor was Sister Berkehiser. After several years the church chose to purchase new property. They purchased the property where the open air revival was held. With the purchase of the new
property the congregation soon envisioned building a new facility and moving the church to the new location. A new building was built and eventually a parsonage was built next to the church.
Throughout the years, many Pastors and people have come through the doors of our church, each one bringing something that would contribute
to the great heritage that we have today.
It is this heritage that has allowed us to continue sharing the gospel message to our community. What an honor for all of us to have a part in this great journey. The price that was paid by many
to have a Pentecostal voice in our community can never be forgotten. We take this same determination and use it for our future. Our past, present, and future show us that we are Committed to Service!
